 CO State 760 The Zone CTTP Finals

Dewey's American Grill
played host on Saturday Feb. 7th to the Final event of the CO State 760
TheZone® CTTP Competition!
The event was a huge success, as hundreds of people watched while over
100 qualifiers competed for some great prizes.
With the help of the combined efforts of Dewey's, Incredible
Technologies, Anheuser Busch, 760 TheZone, and JE&S, the competition
began without a hitch, with registration running from 1:00 3:00 PM.
The staffers started out by drawing names into 10 separate color groups.
Add the group of weekly CTTP event winners to that and we had a total of
11 groups competing.
The first group to compete were the weekly CTTP winners. The winner of
that round was given a spot in the semi-finals. This group played Eagles
Peak Hole One and the winner was John Czarnecki.
Dewey's had a big-screen TV over the bar that displayed all the Golden
Tee action, and the crowd had no trouble cheering on their favorites as
the competition was under way.
The following 10 groups were all Top 200 Qualifiers.

The Green Group went first and competed on Eagles Peak Hole 2. The
winner was Doug Crary.

The Red Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole, but unfortunately, the
winner had to be disqualified.

The Orange Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole 4 and the winner was John
Hamilton.

The Yellow Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole 5 and the winner was
Steve Young.

The Purple Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole 6 and the winner was
Michael Sprague.

The Black Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole 7 and the winner was
Andrew Zavilla.

The Pink Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole 8 and the winner was Dave
Ibis.

The Dark Blue Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole 9 and the winner was
Steve Hixenbaugh.

The Light Blue Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole 10 and the winner was
Howard Nelson.

The Lime Green Group competed on Eagles Peak Hole 11 and the winner was
Dave Lasaitis.
This made for a terrific showdown, with the following Semi Finalists

The semi finalists
competed on Heartland Creek Hole 10. The top 3 from this round moved on
to the finals. 4th and 5th from this were given Michelob Prizes.

The final round was
played on Heartland Creek Hole 11. The crowd had by this time been well
primed for competition. At the end of the Finals, the scores stood as
follows:
1st Place - Steve Hixenbaugh, with a score of 6.00
Winner of his own Golden Tee machine!!!
2nd Place - Doug Crary, with a score of 9.33
Winner of an Outdoor Firepit!!
3rd Place - Howard Nelson, with a score of 25.52
Winner of a set of His/Hers Watches!
A special tourney was also held concurrently, with The Ladies CTTP
Event played on Cedar Meadows Hole 10.
The winner was Patty Ann Feather and she won a Michelob Light Golf Bag,
In addition to the CTTP events there were also drawings done throughout
the day where glassware, hats, event tickets, and misc other items were
given away.
A great time was had by
all, participants and spectators alike!
