After three grueling months of on-line qualifying, Minnesotas elite
Golden Tee players were invited to a Live Final Tournament on May 7th &
8th. Using their average score in 15 rounds, the top 200 players were
selected to compete in the special two-day event. With $20,000 in prizes
and a coveted Tournament of Champions berth in contention, qualifiers
battled for two days in order to determine the paramount player of the
northern state.
A 4-round qualifier was held on May 7th in order to classify players
into two separate 32-man flights. The cutoff total score to qualify for
Flight-A was 59 and 33,513 Great Shot Points. Flight-Bs cutoff was at
31 and 43,541 Great Shot Points. After the qualifiers for Flight-A and
Flight-B were determined, players competed on Saturday in a head-to-head
double elimination tournament. Winners of both flights then competed to
see who would be joining the all-star roster of the Tournament of
Champions.

Throughout the online qualifying period of the MN Mega Fore! GT
Championship, players received one ticket into a special drawing for
every 10,000 League Points they accumulated. Tons of prizes were given
away throughout the weekend to tons of lucky winners.
