MIDWEST
PUB CHAMPIONS COMPETE FOR MORE THAN BARROOM GLORY
One of the most
anticipated portions of the GTLRC, the Midwest Pub Championship,
consisted of 73 Pub Champions competing in a head-to-head, single
elimination closest-to-the-pin competition.
Qualifiers had to have had the best 50-game average on one machine in
one location throughout the two-month qualification period to compete in
the championship. Nearly $2,000 in prize money was on the line, with
$1,000 going to the event's winner.
On two big screens in front of a wild spectator section, pub champions
from across the Midwest fired at the par-3 pins of the new 2007 courses.
The "great equalizer", closest-to-the pin knows no difference between
Golden Tee champs or chumps. CTTP is anybody's game where anybody can
win!
Blind-draw was used to work the 73-man field down to 64 in order to draw
for bracket positions. After 90-minutes worth of intense CTTP action,
the field was down to the final four champions, which included three
representatives from Minnesota and one from Illinois.

Congratulations to
Erik Strowbridge on winning the first Golden Tee LIVE Pub Championship!
