        What is the Golden Tee World Championship?

Here’s all the info you need to know about the most exciting event ever held in Golden Tee history.

Date |              November 16 – 18, 2003.  Players should plan on arriving early on Sunday for practice. A “Welcome to America” reception will kick off the festivities on Sunday evening. Monday will feature team competition (think Ryder Cup) with the best the world has to offer versus the USA’s best. We’ll commemorate the day’s action at a gala banquet on Monday evening culminating with the presentation of the prestigious Golden Tee World Championship trophy to the winning team. Tuesday’s action ends with the crowning of the World Champion. The 16 members of the World team will play off among each other as the 16 members of Team USA do the same with the World team champion and the American champ squaring off for the title and $15,000 in cash.

Place |            Orlando, Florida.  The competition will be held at Friday’s Front Row (FFR), Orlando’s top sports bar. FFR is the perfect spot to hold a competition like the Worlds. It’s unmistakably American.

We’ll be staying at the luxurious 42-acre Wyndham Orlando Resort (www.wyndham.com). The Wyndham is directly across the street from Friday’s Front Row. The Wyndham features deluxe rooms, 2 restaurants, a deli, and an ice cream parlor.  3 heated swimming pools, 4 lighted tennis courts, state-of-the-art health club and the grounds are beautiful.

Who |              As a member of Team USA we’ll fly you down to Orlando, put you up at the Wyndham, feed you, and cloth you (your membership on Team USA includes a complete tournament wardrobe). If you wish to have your significant other accompany you, he or she is welcome to stay with you at the Wyndham and they will be invited to the reception and banquet as our guest. We are not responsible for your significant others travel expenses.
