Team
USA will consist of 16 of the greatest Golden Tee LIVE players in the
country.
2 preeminent players have been granted exemption from qualifying and
form the basis of the team: 2004 Golden Tee World Champion and Team USA
Captain, Jeff Harlow, and 5-Time Golden Tee Player of the Year, Dean
Liakakos.
All players will compete on Golden Tee LIVE from their favorite local
location in a two-month online qualifier for one of 72 coveted spots.
The 72-players will be invited to compete at the live Team USA qualifier
to be held on Saturday, October 15, in Atlanta, GA in conjunction with
the Golden Tee Southern Classic! There, players will compete in a
qualifying tournament where the top 14 players will win an all-expense
paid trip to the 2005 Golden Tee World Championship!
All players will be responsible for their travel and hotel
accommodations to the live qualifier in Atlanta.

Format and Rules

1. Online qualifying starts on August 1 at 12:01 a.m. and ends at 11:59
p.m. September 30. All times are local.
2. In order to qualify for the live event a player must post at least 10
scores on each Golden Tee LIVE course during the 61-day online
qualifying period. (i.e. 50 scores total)
3. The stroke average of the best 10 scores from each course 50 total
- will determine a players ranking. The top 72-players will be invited
to compete for Team USA at the live qualifier in Georgia.
4. Players must identify themselves prior to competing and may choose to
compete for glory or prizes. Either mode of play will count toward
your average. Multi-player games are allowed and there is no limit to
the number of games played per day.
5. A players ranking will be determined by his stroke average in
relation to par. If a tie or ties exist for the last qualifying spot, we
will invite all those players to the live event. The next 24 players
(73rd 96th) will be invited to attend the live qualifier as alternates
and will be allowed to participate in the qualifier in the event that a
spot or spots open.
